The Municipality Launches Mobile App for the “Riga Summer” Event Programme

This year, Riga is celebrating its 825th anniversary with a wide range of festive events, and everyone is invited to join the celebrations. To make it easier for residents and visitors conveniently and quickly find events happening across the city in August, the municipality has launched the “Riga Summer” mobile application.

The app brings together information about the full programme of events, including neighbourhood celebrations, Riga’s birthday festivities, Musical Park programmes and many other activities taking place across the capital.

Users can search and filter events by date, location and category. The app also features an interactive map and geolocation, allowing users to discover events taking place nearby in real time and filter them by category as well as create a personalised “My Summer” event calendar. Users can add events to their favourites and create their own festive itinerary.

Importantly, the application also allows users to access saved events and essential event information without an internet connection, thanks to its offline mode.

The “Rīgas vasara” mobile application is available for both Android and iOS users.
