Season-opening Concert: Diskopauls

The musical ensemble Diskopauls, created with the blessing of Maestro Raimonds Pauls, returns to the Vērmanes Garden stage with a refreshed lineup and a programme specially enriched for the composer’s 90th anniversary.

At the heart of the concert are the unforgettable songs from the legendary Naktsputni recording, complemented by beloved hits including Atgriešanās, Tu un cits, Pusnakts balāde, Zib mūza rati, Ilgošanās, and many more.

Joining the ensemble’s original soloists, Elza Rozentāle and Miķelis Putniņš, is Aija Vītoliņa, completing a vibrant vocal trio. Backed by an experienced band—Toms Mikāls (keyboards), Rūdolfs Dankfelds (drums), Kristians Priekulis (bass), and Dāvis Jurka (wind instruments)— which will keep you dancing from the first note until the concert ends.

Before Diskopauls takes the stage, DJ Moving Magnet will warm up the crowd with a vinyl DJ set featuring a selection of Latvian disco classics.
