Why is the Daugava red? (and other stories}

Street Art Month in Sarkandaugava.
In the courtyard of Sarkandaugava Elementary School, young people, families, and local residents will come together to create a mural dedicated to Sarkandaugava. Through a large-scale wall painting, participants will transform the neighborhood’s stories and identity into a vibrant work of art.

The event will feature performances by the street theatre “Artišoks”, sports relays, games, and creative workshops for children and young people. At the same time, young people, their families, and neighborhood residents will collaborate in turning the stories of Sarkandaugava into a colorful mural that reflects the spirit of the community.
