LODEring – a day for Sarkandaugava time

August 8 will be a day of lodering in Sarkandaugava. Lodering means wandering and leisurely loitering.

In this spirit, the community centre “eS14” Yard will host a variety of activities. Visitors will be able to observe the creation of a mural dedicated to Sarkandaugava, explore the traces of time in the surrounding courtyards together with street art researchers, take part in creative workshops, and together with the artists’ association Poetic Robotism experience the performance “Sarkandaugava Time Bullet”.

Programme

10:00–12:00 Research walk led by art researchers Aneta Liepiņa and Valters Kronbergs.
12:00–16:00Photographer Valdis Jansons will create analogue photographic portraits. Mosaic artist Irina Krilo will guide participants in creating animal mosaics for the façade of Sīmaņa Street 3C, while artist Gundega Evelone will lead the workshop “YES! Activism and Art”, exploring courage, activism, and artistic expression.
16:00–17:00 Interactive discussion “What Colour Is Tomorrow?”
17:00–18:00 Performative action “Sarkandaugava Time Bullit”
