The Ancient Fire Night. Concertprogramme “Echo of Fire”

This year, at the Ancient Fire Night concert on Vakarbuļļu Beach, it will be possible to get acquainted with the heartfelt, energetic and fiery concert programme of the group “Zeltrači” and the event host Katrīna Dimanta, the programme blends the power of Latvian folk music, world rhythms, contemporary vibe and the joy of life, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for both listeners and dancers.

Singer Ance Krauze and composer and pianist Jānis Strazds will take the audience on a musical journey through beloved Latvian songs by Raimonds Pauls, Jānis Lūsēns, Jānis Strazds and other renowned composers.

Fire is the star of tonight’s event, so the lighting of the bonfires is intended as a special ritual – an emotionally saturated and visually impressive festive moment that will emphasize the power of fire, its beauty and symbolic meaning.

The evening will conclude with a performance by the band YŪT, bringing the celebration to a vibrant and energetic finale.

Throughout the evening, visitors will also be able to participate in two workshops. In one workshop, students and teachers from a local art school will collaborate with artist Elita Patmalniece to create a large-scale environmental art installation Fire Flowers, each flower petal will represent an individual artistic expression while contributing to a unified collective artwork.

At the same time, the Baltic Sea Research Workshop, Sea Dung – Worth Its Weight in Gold, or What the Baltic Sea Hides, will invite participants to explore the hidden treasures and ecological significance of the Baltic Sea. Interactive activities in the Baltic Sea Research Tent will give both children and adults the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a marine researcher.
