Kurts and the Band “Urbānās leģendas”

Kurts is one of the pioneers of Latvian hip-hop, gaining wider recognition in the early 2000s as a member of the group S’T’A. Performing together with his band, he will present both audience favourites and newer compositions from the concert programme Urban Legends — a musical journey through the history and present of Latvian hip-hop.

Every Thursday in August — on August 6, 13, 20, and 27 — the Kalnciema Quarter will host an open-air concert series offering high-quality live music, intergenerational encounters, and informal cultural experiences in an urban setting. The concerts will take place in the courtyard of the Kalnciema Quarter, an ensemble of restored 19th-century wooden buildings that has been one of Riga’s most recognizable creative and cultural spaces for more than 15 years.
